Glenn Foundation for Medical Research and AFAR—Postdoctoral Fellowships in Aging Research
The Glenn Foundation for Medical Research, in partnership with the American Federation for Aging Research (AFAR), created the Glenn Foundation for Medical Research Postdoctoral Fellowships in Aging Research to encourage and further the careers of postdoctoral fellows, who are conducting research in the basic biology of aging, as well as translating advances in basic research from the laboratory to the clinic. The award is intended to provide significant research and training support to permit these postdoctoral fellows to become established in the field of aging.
Hearing Health Foundation—Emerging Research Grant
Hearing Health Foundation (HHF) awards grants once a year for the project period of October 1 – September 30. HHF Emerging Research Grants are intended primarily for promising researchers who are in the early stages of their careers and focusing on hearing loss, hearing restoration and hearing and balance related conditions. Senior investigators are also eligible for grants in specific hearing and balance topics.
Glaucoma Research Foundation—Shaffer Grants
The Glaucoma Research Foundation supports new high-impact clinical, epidemiological and laboratory research based on their strategic research goals.
Lilly Grant Office—Healthcare professional education/Patient advocacy and Consumer education programs
As a commitment to improving patient care and providing valuable information to the medical and broader healthcare community, Lilly will accept the following grant requests:
- Healthcare professional education (priority will be given to accredited programs)
- Patient advocacy and Consumer education programs (e.g., disease-state education and awareness, screenings, etc.)
Funding may be requested in the form of support for an educational program, scientific awards, select fellowships, or charitable contributions. Lilly does not provide unrestricted grants or grants to individuals or
group practices.
The focus of the Lilly Grant Office (LGO) will be on healthcare-related CME/CE programs as well as patient education and advocacy in the following therapeutic areas:
- Autoimmune
- Endocrine
- Neurodegeneration
- Neuroscience - Migraine and Headache Disorders
- Oncology
- Chronic pain associated with osteoarthritis and chronic low back pain
Medtronic/Medtronic Foundation—Medtronic Grants and Donations
Medtronic recognizes that they cannot fulfill their Mission alone. In order to “alleviate pain, restore health, and extend life,” Medtronic must support the many stakeholders in healthcare, including providers, medical societies, and patient groups. Part of Medtronic's role is to provide financial assistance for independent medical conferences, charitable events, medical education and public education programs.
Robert Wood Johnson Foundation—Pioneering Ideas: Exploring the Future to Build a Culture of Health
Pioneering Ideas: Exploring the Future to Build a Culture of Health seeks proposals that are primed to influence health equity in the future. RWJF is interested in ideas that address any of these four areas of focus: Future of Evidence; Future of Social Interaction; Future of Food; Future of Work. Additionally, RWJF welcomes ideas that might fall outside of these four focus areas, but which offer unique approaches to advancing health equity and our progress toward a Culture of Health.
