The COVID-19 pandemic has laid bare the drivers behind care disparities - particularly for communities of color - and presents a call to action for all to address structural inequities across healthcare and scientific research. The Health Equity Innovations Fund invites proposals to support groundbreaking efforts to address healthcare disparities for historically underserved communities, with a focus on communities of color. This can yield benefits for society as a whole, laying the groundwork for more relevant and widely applicable healthcare solutions, reducing avoidable healthcare spending, and ensuring equitable health outcomes for all people.
Pioneering Ideas: Exploring the Future to Build a Culture of Health seeks proposals that are primed to influence health equity in the future. RWJF is interested in ideas that address any of these four areas of focus: Future of Evidence; Future of Social Interaction; Future of Food; Future of Work. Additionally, RWJF welcomes ideas that might fall outside of these four focus areas, but which offer unique approaches to advancing health equity and our progress toward a Culture of Health.
These awards support researchers who are transforming great ideas into healthcare innovations that could have a significant impact on human health.
