Limited Submission Opportunities (LSOs)
Limited submission opportunities (LSOs) are funding opportunities for which GW can only put forward a limited number of nominations or applications (generally 1-3 depending on the funding opportunity). The CFR Office partners with the Office of the Vice Provost for Research (OVPR) to administer the LSO process for foundation and corporate funders. A university committee selects the most competitive proposal(s) to submit to the funder.
You can view a current list of LSOs in GW’s InfoReady system.
To submit a proposal for an LSO at GW, please:
- Identify the LSO competition you’re applying for through the GW Funding Opportunities database or OVPR’s website and learn as much as you can about selection criteria for grant awards.
- Develop and upload all required documents to GW’s InfoReady system.
- After the selection on which candidate will move forward as GW’s nominee/applicant, the Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations will work with the Research Enhancement Unit to notify internal applicants and provide the individual(s) selected with assistance on the LOI and/or full proposal to be submitted to the foundation or corporation. Please also see REU LSOs.
